APINDO and the Indonesia Australia Skills Exchange launch an online training series with leading Australian institutions

JAKARTA, 18 June 2025 – The Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO), in partnership with the Katalis-supported Indonesia Australia Skills Exchange (IASE), is proud to announce the launch of a new series of online training courses aimed at strengthening workforce capabilities across Indonesia. The initiative features high-quality programs delivered by Australian Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), bringing world-class expertise to Indonesian professionals and business leaders.

The first in the series of four courses, “Leadership in the Workplace”, was delivered by DeakinCo, a leading provider of workforce capability solutions and a division of the Melbourne-based Deakin University. The session took place online on June 18, 2025, and was open to professionals across industries seeking to enhance their leadership skills and drive performance within their organisations.

This collaborative effort marks a significant step forward in Indonesia–Australia cooperation on vocational education and training, aligned with the goals of the Indonesia–Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IA-CEPA). By bringing Australian-certified training to Indonesian audiences, the series offers globally recognised skills development in an accessible, online format.

Through strategic collaboration with Katalis and DeakinCo, we are accelerating the transformation of Indonesian talent through the IASE platform, a real breakthrough that bridges the needs of business with world-class quality training. This is not just an initiative, but a national movement,” said Shinta Kamdani, Chair, APINDO. “APINDO is committed to making IASE a driving force for the competitiveness of the Indonesian workforce, in line with the grand vision of Indonesia Emas 2045.”

The Indonesia Australia Skills Exchange is proud to support this collaboration with APINDO and Australian RTOs. We aim to bring international training standards closer to Indonesia and help bridge professional growth between both countries. It also reflects our shared vision to create a future-ready workforce and deepen bilateral engagement in vocational training,” said Paul Bartlett, Director, Katalis.

Registrations for the next training on July 4, to be delivered by Phoenix Australia on the topic of Mental Health in the Workplace, are now open. For more information and to register, visit https://bit.ly/apindo-iase.
