Indonesia-Australia Agriculture Value Chain Proposals

Indonesia Australia Agriculture Value Chain Proposals

With guidance from the Government of Indonesia and the Government of Australia, Katalis has recently identified agriculture and agri-tech as one of the sectors/value chains with mutual interest of both countries in the long-term. We are particularly interested in opportunities relating, but not limited to, meat and livestock, dairy, grains, tropical fruit and nuts, aquaculture and fisheries, downstream food & beverages (F&B), consumer packaged goods (CPG), and AgTech.

We’re now calling on businesses to identify innovative ideas for co-investment that will drive commercial outcomes in the agricultural value chain between Australia and Indonesia.

If you’re interested, submit an expression of interest here by Wednesday, 15 March 2023.

For more information, check out the FAQ or reach out to info@iacepa-katalis.org.

Submissions will be assessed and suitable participants will be invited to a briefing to explain how to develop a concept note.

FAQs

What type of activities can be proposed?

Anything that will generate commercial outcomes in the near term (within 2-3 years) such as: technology partnerships; offtake agreements; market entry strategies, investment/business cases; pilot projects; new product development opportunities; infrastructure or equipment procurement for new market opportunities, breakthrough innovations etc.

What’s in it for you in addition to co-investment?

The engagement is backed by both governments, helping to reduce risk for new market engagement/expansion as Katalis will be co-sponsoring.

What co-investment is required?

If you are successful, the expectation is you will co-invest. Your investment can include things such as funds, time, IP, personnel etc. This increases ownership of the activity to ensure it is a real partnership between a beneficiary and Katalis and improves the likelihood that the activity will deliver sustainable outcomes.

What happens next?

Submissions are due on Wednesday, 15 March 2023. Submissions will be assessed and suitable participants will be invited to a briefing to explain next steps. Successful concepts will progress to development of a detailed Activity Proposal. If this is approved by Katalis, you will then need to sign an MoU, with a view to commencing the activity in the second half of 2023.
