Supporting increased bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and Australia in nursing
Katalis will support activities to move towards greater alignment and future collaboration between Australia and Indonesia in nursing.
The activity is part of the Action Plan for Nursing Standards, which resulted from the recent Comparative Assessment of Nursing Standards in Indonesia and Australia also conducted by Katalis. It also responds to the IA-CEPA’s Side Letter on Improving Health Professional Standards and Access to Health Services.
The Comparative Assessment of Nursing Standards found there is a limited understanding of nursing systems across each country. Therefore, a priority area of support from Katalis is to provide information and analysis, including key stakeholder consultations, that will inform future activities, including greater alignment in nursing education and frameworks for cross-country exchange, as well as a potential bilateral Mutual Recognition Agreement.
