Supporting a private Indonesian firm to establish a commercially sustainable electrical trades vocational training facility
January 2024 – October 2025
Katalis is supporting PT ODG Nusantara Jaya (referred to as “ODG”) to establish an electrical trades training facility in Jakarta. The facility will provide highly trained electricians to the Indonesian mining and industrial sectors.
Katalis is funding Holmesglen Institute from Australia to provide six customised electrical courses for ODG and deliver the Australian-level teacher training program known as “International Skills Training” (IST). Initially, Holmesglen Institute will have primary teaching responsibilities at the facility, and over 18 months ODG’s teachers will progressively take on full responsibility for course delivery.
At the completion of this two-year activity, a commercial arrangement between Holmesglen and ODG will ensure that education standards are maintained at the facility in the long term.
Katalis’s investment helps to de-risk the critical first two years of establishing an electrical trades vocational training facility in Jakarta. The investment will also result in a sustainable partnership between an Indonesian business and an Australian TAFE.
