Increasing access for travellers with a mobility disability to Bali

February 2025 – September 2025

This activity addresses the poor quality and inconsistent information made available by Bali hotel operators to Australian travellers with a disability and their families, with the end goal of attracting more travellers and especially those with a mobility-related disability. The purpose of this pilot is to demonstrate the business case for hotels to clearly communicate and advertise their accessibility features. If successful, this pilot will serve as a model for other hotel chains and tourism operators in Indonesia and in other popular travel destinations in southeast (SE) Asia including Thailand and Vietnam to adopt similar communication practices.
